From the offical forums :
Hello PC fans,
I am happy to say that we have entered Phase 5 of our PC Patching Process, and are preparing the patch for worldwide distribution!
As such, I wanted to shed some light on precisely what Patch 1.2 has fixed. But first, I’d like to introduce a NEW MAP we’ve included in this patch – Makin Day.
Items addressed in 1.2:
Free Multiplayer Map! The tide is out and the sun is high – this daytime version of Makin sheds new light on the battle!
Fixed exploits that allowed for power ranking servers.
Fixed router related server authentication errors.
Fixed HTTP Redirect functionality for downloading mods
Fixed sound device crashes stemming from Emulated Sound Devices
Fixed exploit which allowed players to color their name tag.
Hits now register properly while targeted player is leaning.
Enabled /cg_drawfps in multiplayer games.
Fixed command-line +connect functionality
/cg_fov no longer resets to the default value in between matches.
Dedicated servers automatically reconnect to the Master Server in case the Master Server resets.
“Accept Game Invite” is bound to its default key, F10.
Implemented fix for attempting to join password protected servers from the server browser.
Fine tuned Bolt-Action Rifles for balance.
Screenshots no longer overwrite each other.
Fixed various multiplayer map related issues and exploits.
We are aware that /record is not on this list, but are happy to say we’ve already begun working on a Patch 1.3 which will address /record. More details on that patch will emerge after the 1.2 release.
So get ready to get your frag on – Patch 1.2 is releasing TOMORROW, Feb. 6th 2009! Mirrors should start being made available in the morning, PST.
Linux binaries are soon to follow. Another update on that when we get it, I hope to hear from the team tomorrow – it’s in testing.
Regards,
-JD

Treyarch has had
EVERYTHING at THEIR CONVENIENCE!!
PATCH 1.2 MUST BE RELEASED
AT THE USER”S CONVENIENCE!!
JANUARY 31, 2009!!
From before November 11, 2008 with all the FANCY BS promises and hype through the “Holiday Vacation” ’till now, its been ALL Treyarch’s way…
Simply put, if the Patch is not out by January 31, 2009
You were asked, then begged and finally warned time and time again. Your manchild mouthpiece gave all of us nothing but sarcastic BS remarks in return. Now as we approach crunch time he’s yapping about 8-10 weeks to do a patch. BS!! Patch 1.1 your now infamous Day *0* patch refutes that lie big time.
Forget the excuses, the BS reasons and reasoning – Especially the “Oh, we gotta do this and we gotta do that….” You gotta do one thing: Release Patch 1.2 on or before Jan. 31, 2009.
Treyarch, you should’ve done all your gotta’s BEFORE you RELEASED this $50.00 box of BUGS and BS on us!! Now, do the right thing or kiss the entire enchilada goodbye… PC & Console users have run out of patience.
We are suffering through never ending CRASHING SERVERS, countless program BUGS, BROKEN ROUTINES and CRAPOLA TOOLS!
- Server Exploits
- Map Exploits
- Game Bugs
- Editor Bugs
Hey,
the new server went online yesterday: With dual Xeon-Processors, lots of RAM and U320-15k SCSI Harddisks it´s no question that this rig outperforms the old one.
Therefore the old “WAR Austria Hardcore”-Session was moved to the new rig, the only downside is the new IP-Address. You´ll find the new “WAR -Austria- Hardcore”-Session under
62.99.220.220:28960
I will shut down the old Server on the 1.2.2009, please update your favourites.

Call of Duty: World at War has been Released.PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, NDS A fitting release for Memorial Day, Call of Duty: World at War has shipped to stores for all major platforms. World at War has a lot in common with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, except it takes us back to engagements in World War II, mostly in the Pacific theater. The deep multiplayer experience system makes a return, and it’s the first game in the series to include co-op support for the campaign, allowing up to 4 players to tackle it together online, or 2-player splitscreen on consoles. Note that there is already a patch for World at War which you can download from one of the mirrors on the official site. |
